WE HAVE MOVED!
You might have noticed that 987 Santa Fe Dr is no longer our home! As of March 1st, 2014 , we are residing in NE Denver, close to the RiNo Art District.
Thank you for being patient as we made this transition. We are so excited to be back at it in our new home!
We’re conducting business in the same manner as before – we work by appointment only so if you’d like to get tattooed or schedule a consultation, you can reach us via email ~ [email protected] or phone 720.381.6090
We’ll be in touch with clients with existing appointments to update them on our new address.
Here are a few tattoos that made it to our Facebook page recently.
We spent several days last week sprucing up the shop. It was overdue a good old fashioned Spring clean since we were preoccupied with our newest addition when it was actually Spring time.
Hope you enjoy a peek at our sparkling space!
P.S. Obviously we are instagram addicts. Follow us: @rebelliontattoo!
The few prints we made of the painting were highly coveted and sold out quickly, but we’ve finally decided to let go of the original (to a good home, of course!).

Last weekend we headed up to Aspen for the X Games. Preston tattooed out of the pop-up tattoo shop, Hold Fast Tattoo, at the Sky Hotel, hosted by Sailor Jerry Rum. The clients, who included artists, musicians, athletes and supporters of Sailor Jerry Rum, received classic pieces of Sailor Jerry flash.
Sailor Jerry Rum also hosted the unofficial X Games kickoff party at the Sky Hotel that you can read more about here.
We met so many great people and got to hang out with some old acquaintances. We had a little time to explore the town of Aspen and we were lucky enough to catch Shaun White bust out the 100 point perfect run in the SuperPipe. It was pretty awesome! Not so awesome was watching Justin Hoyer break his arm attempting a double backflip on the snowmobile. It was pretty much awful!
Thanks to everyone who made this experience possible!
Saturday, January 14th 2012 marked the 101st birthday of Sailor Jerry. To commemorate the occasion, Preston paired up with Joe from Sailor Jerry Rum to knock out some classic SJ flash. The lucky recipients included many local bartenders to show appreciation for their continued support of Sailor Jerry Rum.
It was a long day, 14 hours long to be exact, with lots of people, flash, laughs, coffee, pizza and much frustration whilst trying to find a signal so everyone could catch the Broncos vs. Patriots game (sad face) in the evening.
We’re grateful to be a part of this occasion and look forward to working with Sailor Jerry Rum again as we head to Aspen in a couple of weeks to tattoo out of the Sailor Jerry Airstream at the X Games.
Here are a selection of the tattoos Preston did that day. We’ll put more up as we get them – it’s quite possible we used 4 of our own cameras on that day, plus whatever everyone else used so there are a lot of sources to get through!
If you’re wondering where good ol’ Steve went, he headed back to the dry heat of Vegas.
We’re lucky to have spent some time working with him and wish him all the best. *tear*
Steve Thompson is a black sheep. Rather, since all tattooers are black sheep, Steve is a white sheep. Yes, a white sheep in a herd of all black sheep, that more accurately describes Mr. Steve Thompson. In an industry where rock-star egos, maniacal behavior and self-destructive tendencies are the norm, Steve is just a regular ol’ good guy. Considerate and morally sound, Steve goes above and beyond to make sure that his customers receive the attention they deserve, and in turn, the tattoo that they have dreamt about.
Tattooing is practically Steve’s live-in girlfriend, he is passionate about what he does and he is constantly devouring new information that he can apply to the betterment of his craft. He loves tattooing and it shows. Traditional Americana style tattooing is Steve’s specialty, and he is great at it. We are stoked to have him on the team here and can’t wait to watch his future unfold. He has been tattooing for 10 years so far and we hope he will be 10 years more with us here at The R. Do I sound like a cheerleader? I guess thats cause I am…come on down and meet him and judge for yourself.
